"Wouldn't it be nice if.."
starship

Wouldn't it be nice if there were a simulation of a working Bussard Ramjet and a 3d model of (relatively) near space?

What I want is a real physics based simulation where I can point my ship at Alpha Centauri accelerate at 1g for half the trip, stand on the brakes at 1g for the last half. How long does it take? Where else can I go?
Somewhere along the line almost all the science has been leached out of science fiction. Star Wars is fun but there isn't one speck of science in it from start to finish. Star Trek is as bad.
I tried google sky but I couldn't get the nearer stars in 3d space. I got excited when I heard about the ms world telescope thing but when I checked it's windows only so still I wait.
I would be grateful to anyone who can point me to something like the above. I suppose I could roll my own but Wibni's are things I would like to see, but not enough to displace the other things I'm doing.
